keynote naming does not follow sequence

I open a project from yesterday.  Open Keynotes.  Click on the desired folder, select the last keynote used, then click "New Keynote" button.  And the name of the new keynote does not follow my naming sequence.  Instead of C23 it puts in a default.

It follows on from whatever the last keynote was during your CURRENT session, else it will default to stepping KN-xx. Probably worth a wish for it to step based on the folder or keynote that you have selected.

if you click the duplicate button, it will follow the naming/numbering sequence.

right, thanks.  I tried just manually typing the first one, then it follows along. Thanks again.
