lost ability to print pdf

I cannot print to a pdf file. When printing the pdf option does not show up. Under print set-up the pdf is not there but "temporary ArchiCAD10 publisher" shows up. If I try to use that it only stalls out and nothing happens. What do I need to do to change it back to pdf?

In AC10 the process for creating .pdf's changed. New new way is to publish (layouts or model views) from the publisher tab on the drawing organizer. After dragging the desired drawings into the publisher list you then select the output format, in this case .pdf. As an additional option you can have multiple layouts/drawings merged into a single .pdf file.

When i first started with AC10 i had to make some adjustments to get this to work. Below is a link the the correction that worked for me.

Part of the problem is that once you put the drawings into publisher and select output format - the option for selecting .pdf is not there. I cannot print to the .pdf format in the publisher and I cannot print in ArchiCAD to .pdf.

Had some luck. Reinstalled ArchiCAD on the computer. Whatever was causing the problem went away. ArchiCAD reinstalled the Amyuni PDF converter and it is now showing up when I go to print from the desktop and when I use the publisher.

Thanks for your suggestions and help!

Next time you need to only reinstall the PDF driver. Its intaller is located within the ArchiCAD folder.

Are you sure that is still the case in AC11, Laszlo? The PDF Converter doesn't look like it exists as a separate application any longer. Maybe it has been bundled in with the main installation?

Cheers,
Link.

His signature says he is using AC10, this is why I wrote this.
But you are right, for anyone using AC11 and reading this, it is good info to say that this is not the case with AC11.

I will have to look at the ArchiCAD folder again. I did go through the information on the disk but did not see what might be a pdf installer. Does that show up as a separate icon within a folder? Yes, I am using AC10. I have installed all the updates from Graphisoft as they have been available.

Look for a folder name similar to this:
C:\Program Files\ArchiCAD 10\PDF Converter\Install
