Rounded window, rectangle wall opening

LeonieCREAD

Hello

I have my arched windows and doors that take an opening in the rectangle wall. I must have pressed somewhere, before that I didn't have the problem.

What do you mean by "I only created the frame"?

An Archicad window already has the frame, no need to create anything.

What Archicad window are you placing?

I get the impression you are placing an empty opening and the adding the frame?

To create a custom window have a look at this ...

This does not include the wallhole which is explained in the links at step 4.

Maybe it can help this video on YT

Here is how to change ID to : wallhole

I created the window frame, but that's not the cause of the problem, it happens with all my windows, for example the arched history window 27 of archicad without customization.

Does this happen in a fresh file?

This is strange.

I have never seen a 'shaped' window cut a rectangular hole in a wall.

Here is the same window (just version 28).

I can't think of a setting that would control this.

Does the same thing happen if you start a new file based on the default Archicad template?

No, there is no problem in a fresh file but when I merge my folder with a new file, the problem is still present.

No, I don't have this problem in a fresh file. I don't see what it can be because it happened suddenly.

I don't know what is happening to you in that file.

I am not aware of any settings that will ignore the shape of the wallhole and leave it only as a rectangle.

Have you tried a Repair on the file? Maybe something in the file is corrupting the wallhole...

Yes I tried, it didn't change anything... I also tried to copy and paste when I integrate a wall from another file, the window changes opening and when I paste a wall from my file, the existing windows are rectangle and the new ones are round... I think I'm going to have to put everything on another file and start my layouts again.
