Transom material change? where?

see attached
basically have touched just about ALL the toggle buttons, radio buttons, pull-down arrows..etc...of this object and cant' see where I can change the 'surface' of the frame around the transom ONLY to a different material (in essence a different color)?

oh and the door is a "D1 tramsom 17" type door. if that helps to resolve where I can change the color of the transom frame.

by the way...here's the clients comment. Where or where is the parameter to change that transom's color???? material?

Using AC17 with Library Updated it is controlled by the Leaf Surface Setting which by some reason you are missing from your door.
Do you have the latest library update for 17?

hummm.....I'll have to check the latest AC17 library updates...maybe that's the problem?

ok...so my AC17 Library is "up to date".
But here's something I had failed to mention.
The "door panel" is a "custom" door panel.
I had to create a "dutch type" door panel....though I don't see how/why the door panel being custom would affect the transom parameters?

Maybe I'm not allowed by the program to have a "custom door panel" where I can alter the transom above?
is that correct?

could the "custom door panel" have freaked out the parameters for the transom?? shouldn't have right? I mean..I can have a door panel that's custom yet the transom be from the D17 transom object?...No?

well....and here we have it!
it appears that I CAN NOT use a custom door panel without disturbing the parameters of the transom above in this object.
as soon as I changed the panel back to a stock panel selection that WAS NOT custom...those "leaf parameters" returned to my list of adjustable parameters......what a bummer.....seems I can't have my cake and eat it too...

Just a thought:

• change panel to regular
• edit material
• change the panel back to custom

?

or just create a custom panel that includes the transom and then use the regular door?
