Ok, it's gotta be asked unless it's already been asked.
When? this year?
What can we speculate (wikileaks) the improvements would be to?

As is the case with every version, anyone who knows is legally bound not to say when or what. Neither would we want to - I think the big gorilla has pinched enough of our features, let's not give them a head start.

My layman/alpha/beta tester insight on the process is that Graphisoft obviously don't sit around until 'that time of year' and then decide what they'll add to the new version. To a large extent development is roadmapped years in advance. As with any software development, the alpha version and pre-alpha projects are created and tested way ahead of their final release date, so that the concepts can be set, and the main code can be edited, tested, bug fixed, etc, etc.

As a tester it's not exactly like we can influence the front end development (although we try bloody hard!), we mostly help reduce the amount of bugs in the code that has already been edited towards the end. We do this mainly for the love of the program, and if we put in a big individual effort, perhaps an award/reward. We certainly don't get paid.

Rest assured that extremely smart people are looking after the development of the program, and they are well aware of the outstanding wishes and bugs. And they are listening. All I can say about the next version, from what I've seen, is that I'm very excited about some of the long-standing wishes that will be included.

Take a look at the past release schedule and you can do you rmath on when the next version may come out. Good things come to those who wait (and pay).

Cheers,
Link.

Also, did you catch the Eco Designer webinar from tuesday? At the end, they talk a bit about Eco Designer in v15 and beyond. I need to go back and watch the hole thing; I only caught bits of the end. But it sounds like we have some good stuff in store.

I had the luck of being shown by the guys at GS Product Design every little feature and option of what will be new in ArchiCAD 15.
Honestly, as an architect, I just got more and more excited as they told me all the various things they did.
I hope that a lot of people will really like it when it comes out.

By the way, here is the recorded EcoDesigner webinar.

It is HTML 5-based so currently it does not play in Internet Explorer 8.
It works for me both in Firefox and Chrome.
I will post another link if there will be IE8-compatible version.

You know that I can't say.
Besides, I don't know, no one knows for sure.
A new version is released when it is already released.

so, I don't want to sound bitter or anything, but let me just ask a simple question:

Is Graphisoft going to do anything about the Stairmaker tool?

Because if they don't, no matter what AC 15 will be capable of doing, it's still going to be a CAD without a usable stair tool. And that's not acceptable.
