We have released ArchiCAD 18 Update 4020. It is currently available through the automatic update system for the INT, USA, AUS and GER language versions. Further language versions will be enabled as they pass Quality Control. You can download the Update packages from the Release Notes page here:

Ok, this is really frustrating. I had so many crashes with my iMac, I gave up on using it as a workstation, and am now trying to use it as a Bim Server. I installed the USA 3006 version alright, but when I try to update to the 4020, no matter what I try the installer only looks for ArchiCAD 18. It says archicad is up to date, and gives me an option to browse for another locaiton for 18, but does not update the Bim Server 18.

Please help?

Does anyone experience ArchiCAD 18 build 4020 crash on Mac OS 10.10? I stopped working with AC18 and get back to AC17.

Dear Ted, Dear Maged,

I wonder if there is any chance that you have the problem documented in the Yosemite article on HelpCenter:

http://helpcenter.graphisoft.com/technotes/operating-systems/mac-os-x-10-10-yosemite/#Important_note...

If not, can you send in your crash reports and send us the Crash-ID displayed at submitting?

I never loaded the beta version of Yosemite, but I tried some of the steps noted above without results. After trying several other things including a clean install (after a complete uninstall of everything that could be uninstalled) of Archicad 18 (3006) and installing a new version of Yosemite on a separate start up disk which all resulted in the same behavior, Crash on startup. I have reverted back to Maverick and (3006) which does not crash. I have sent the crash reports along with the crash-ID into Tech Support but they have not responded, which I find frustrating.

Dennis,

maybe some registration information is missing and as a result the update installer cannot find your BIM Server. Try to run the original BIM Server installer. This will run in repair mode and re-create everything that might be missing.

After this hopefully you will be able to patch it with the latest update.

Ted,

we identified the source of this crash, which appears to come only on certain computers running OS X 10.10.

I asked our US team to get in touch with you with some instructions to work around this problem until a proper solution is available.

Found out today that the Publisher non-Postscript-compatibility issue still lingers in update 4020. see http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?p=235845#235845

I wonder what the excuse is to not support all fonts that the OSX system supports?

Hi,

Does the latest version of ArchiCAD 18 work properly on OX S Yosemite, version 10.10.2 ?

So any insight as to why this is an Update and no longer a Hotfix?
This is just more SSA coercion.

If not signed with SSA:
No free upgrade will be given
No Dongle replacement
Paid technical support applies

Whereas there is no charge for the Hotfix and you don't need the SSA for that reason. Which for some is the only reason.

Steve,

how did you come by this info. I just signed up for the SSA, but don't seem to have any special access save for being able to download the surfaces bundle.

it's been a while since we;ve seen a new build.
