I installed Archicad 23 and want to Hotpoint with 15 cm wall. But the wall is bigger than Archicad 19 one. So how to fix it? Thanks.

Sorry I do not understand what you mean.

What do you mean by "Hotpoint with 15cm wall"

Maybe some images will help us understand the problem?

Hi

Sorry it was a mistake. I was meaning that I wanted to join the hotspots with walls. But here the 15 cm thick wall look too big than the archiCAD 19 one.

Still not clear but check your units in "Project Preferences" to verify that it is not a 1.5m thick wall with length of 15mm.

Thanks Mr Rolon for your contribution.

I have attached two images, the first one highlights 15cm thick walls with configuration, that connect hostpots. This is copied from archiCAD 19 project.

The second one also highlights 15cm thick walls with the same configuration as the first, trying to connect the hotspots. This one is directly make from archiCAD 23.

You can notice the difference.  Hoping that I explain it well now. Please tell me what to do.

Ps: I personally notice the difference of structure. One is "concrete structural" et the second one is (from French) "Brique- Silico-calcaire ou BKS) which I cannot find in archiCAD 23

Turn the 'Tracker' on so you can see the length of the wall you are drawing.

It used to be in the Standard tool bar, but I don't see it there any more.

You can turn it on in the Work Environment.

I think as Eduardo suggested, you may be using the wrong working units?

It could be wrong in version 19 I think.

Or the distance between the hotspots in 23 is not very far at all.

Hi Mr Barry

Ok i understand what you said. The tracker icon is under "options" on the images that i sent. But the issue is about thickness, not about length.

I would like to solicit Mr Rolon to tell me precisely under what heading I can adjust the thickness. Because I tried to set the two "Working Units" of the projets the same way but i don't have the same result as you can see below

Thank you

Based on the screenshot you are using Meters.

Now open the Wall Settings, in the screenshot the 1 means a 1m thick wall

And this is that wall with a length distance of 1.22m shown in the blue tracker box.

Hi Mr Eduardo and Barry

Once again thank you for all your contributions.

I finally found out the problem. I just needed to set the "Length unit" to meters before placing the hotspots.

I really appreciated your responsiveness. It pushed me to move towards the solution.

Merci
