I am trying to model a spiral stair with a height of 4060 mm. The stair top is not linked to a story, but for some reason I can't make the stair height more than 2940 mm.
I am trying to circumvent this by making another stair on top of it, but then the issue is that the heights and depths of the steps are totally different from the first one, and for some reason I can't change them either (they just revert back when I click OK).
Anyone know what the issue might be here? I would prefer to just make one stair with a height of 4060, but if that for some reason doesn't work I have to make two stairs with identical properties. See screenshots with settings for the separate stairs.
Operating system used: Mac Apple Silicon Tahoe 26.3.1

remove the rules. these always limit the overall dimensions of the stair, as well as the tread/riser/width/etc...

As Patrick said, the rules are restricting your stair case.
Turning the rules off or adjusting them is fine and you may get the stair you want, but it may not conform to local regulations.

I thought I tried that but obviously not, thanks! That solved it
