Can you post a signature with your OS, computer specs, etc. That will help in diagnosing potential problems.

Another silly question - is the wall layer locked?
Also, the wall components themselves can be locked - select the walls in question, go to Edit>Locking>Unlock or try Unlock all with nothing selected.
