Grid options in section settings. AC12

Hey in 12 they removed an option in the section settings to update the grids manually. Now when we rebuild our sections the grids go wacky and we have to fix them every time we rebuild. Is there a way around this?

There is a ArchiCADWiki article with further information if you need it - http://www.archicadwiki.com/TechNotes/Grid%20Tool%20Panel%20Visibility

That's fantastic! Why didn't I think of that?

The bizarre thing is, it was working fine before Christmas, then I come back after the break (same work environment) and it had changed.

Oh well, fixed now - and another thing learnt about ArchiCAD.

Cheers

The insufferable rogue grid lines are back wreaking havoc in sections and elevations with the auto-staggering trick. Now it's only one grid line in the file, but I can't shake it. Delete and draw a new one, copy and paste a good one, drag a copy of a good one, close the file and start over--nothing works. And instead of just a random stagger, it's a stagger AND a correct non-stagger at the same time.

Dave - it's not the grid settings that do this, but rather the Section settings.

Yes, the bug is related to the Section setting to Auto-stagger, but it is a bug. I should not be getting a two-headed grid marker, one staggered and one not, at the same time. And in the project that was the subject of the screen shot, there wasn't any conflict that required a stagger any way.
