New Archicad 19 Dock feature

AHRRR! I'm trying to get use to this dock in 19, but it's driving me crazy (short putt actually) I can't open a window over the new dock 'feature'.

It's nice that I can cleanly arrange my pallets but Jeeze! It's way too hard/counter intuitive to do that and if i want to open the archicad forum from the help menu or switch over to 'finder', my Archicad continues to float over top of it. I have to minimize Archicad to get to other windows! Worse and most convenient of all, the search and select pallet keeps disappearing behind the window also!

..Pain, ...Pain, ...Pain!

Archicad version 19 on Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.3

my best wishes and condolences to you all,

Frustrated Frank

The new tab feature is a very nice addition but I'm wondering why I cannot drag a view directly from the navigator to create a new tabbed view. Instead there is yet another new menu that I have to open to then find a navigator style menu. Seems a bit bloated and unintuitive.

right click the view and select "Open in New Tab" does not work?

Deeply disappointed that new tabs feature limited to 1 plan view and 1 3D view
I have a cloned ground floor view as a tab , but when I right click and select another story, it gives me a story from the project map and not the cloned view map!!

Almost not worth using as I still need to keep going back into navigator to find the view/story I want to see. Is this a bug?

It would be more useful if I could change the colors of the views in the navigator so that my eye can easily tell different categories of views.

I have answered the same question in another thread. See it there:
