Slab / wall intersections in section

I know it's not exactly the right way to go about things, but I have slabs partially crossing walls so that in the section window they should appear to be sitting on the inner skin of a composite wall. You can bring the slab to the front and this looks fine, but every time I rebuild the section the slabs go behind the walls again. Is there a way to bring them to the front permanently?

Wall be behind of slab if:
1. slab is non-composite
2. slab is composite, but has only one layer
3. slab is composite and section fills of slab layers are identical (in same wall's arrangment, but unessential to have all wall layers in slab) with wall's.

Tip: overdraw using 2d tools (Fills, lines, etc).

p.s.:
Anyone from AC10-beta testers knows if composite structures connectivity problems improved?

The most permanent method is to use Solid Element Operations to actually cut the slab out of the wall. No display order issues or 2D required.

Hey thanks! I had been hoping for a nice easy place to change stacking order of elements in 3D or the like, but there doesn't seem to be one I guess?. I've never tried SEO before - thought it would be really fiddly, but it wasn't at all! All sorted now. Thanks

In general, Display order only applies to 2D elements. 3D elements are stacked in the order they are seen. When they overlap, you get strange results.

If you really want to know how Display Order works:
