Wall Junctions

Hey,

Question: my wall junctions aren't working. Help.

I want the two separate walls to join like this:

But when they are actually joined, it looks like this...

Help Please!!

Operating system used: Windows 11

Try to select the partition wall on the right and set its Junction Order value (Settings Dialog > Model panel) to a value lower than that of the other two Walls. Then Archicad will join those two Walls first, and then join the partition wall to them.

If that does not solve it, it may be an issue with the Priority Numbers of the participating Building Materials (BMs), specifically, the Priority Number of the partition wall's BMs being higher than that of the other Walls' BMs. In that case, can you post a screenshot where you indicate of Priority Numbers of all BMs?

wall junctions continue to be a struggle for everyone. There is no one size fits all solution to get all walls to  clean up. It's a juggling act between:
-building material priorities

-reference line position

-wall junction order

-layer groups

...

it gets even worse when you try to look at sections; no matter what you do, you'll end up with extra lines and fills showing incorrectly between wall to wall, wall to slab, wall to roof, etc.

...

the bMat relationships have long been a half finished feature that leaves me without a reasonable argument when I train people who say 'well in Revit I can just...'

can you share a screen shot of the walls selected or with wall/beam reference line on (view > onscreen view option)?
it may be as simple as adjusting your reference line positions.

...
i think as laszlo also suggested, if the insulated wall settings have a junction order higher than the thinner interior wall, it may clean it up too.
