Window Line Weight @ Wall Intersection AC10

Anonymous
Not applicable
I have looked everywhere for a way to control the line weight of the intersection of Library 10 window / door with it's wall. There is this heavy line drawn at the intersection of wall. As per drawing. I can't get rid of it.

Anybody?

Thanks.

This a bug in the US doors and windows which have fallen behind the INT objects in terms of graphics and user interface despite having some nice features unavailable elsewhere, like exterior casing that can cut into exterior siding. I think the separate development of the US library, while well intentioned is not the best way to deliver features that reflect common North American practices. It dilutes resources and deprives users of what should be mutual benefits. And, as in this case, it makes bug tracking all the harder. Please take a look at my list, published here, that I've been working up with some other committed (or soon to be committed) users and see if you find the same issues. Specifically take a look at Plan symbol-->wrong wall line in the first section.

Geoff,
I went to the link you posted and read what you had to say and
I must say I agree with all of what you say.
That is an impressive list.
Does the INT version have most of the same problems ?

How did you post what looks like an OmniOutliner file to a website like that??

No. But it has a few of it's own. I encourage all US users to check out the INT library, especially with regard to the doors and windows. Unfortunately they cannot be loaded together.

Circus Ponies NoteBook. As a Mac guy you really have to check it out:

Hello Geoff,
I asked this question last Wednesday but you must have
missed it so I am asking again.
How does a US user obtain the INT library ?
Thank you,

Sorry for the delay Peter. I have the INT library by virtue of being a beta tester. I'm not sure what the official route for a US user would be. Try the Mactel public beta here.

Hello Geoff,
I managed to get a copy of the AC 10 INT library.
Is there anything besides un-loading the US version
that I need to worry about when creating a new project
with the INT library loaded as the project library ?

Thanks Geoff,

How about the problem with some day wanting to update projects to say AC11 that is using a much, much better US library? Will the conversion be painful. I am in agreement with Geoff that developing separate Libraries i a waste of "resources and deprives users of what should be mutual benefits". But, I am always of the opinion that if the Software company is intending for us to work in a certain manner, (in US, us the US Library) than I try to do that. No working as they intend for us to work can come back to bite you.
