It's not working, or it's not on the menu so you can pick on it?

Assuming you mean that it is there, but not working, does it do anything at all? Is there any chance the item(s) you have selected is on a locked layer? Or not in your workspace?

Press Control for ... a copy, Cotrol Alt for ... multiple

If it is not in the pull down, go to Options/Preferences ... the tickbox is there.

Changed Work Environments recently?

And, please include your ArchiCAD version, computer and OS details in your signature.

i have the 'a-copy' part drop out on me on a regular basis: i.e. pressing the ALT button, or indeed choosing '<Transformation> a Copy' from a menu simply doesn't work.

quitting archiCAD and re-launching clears it momentarily, but it comes back whenever i go to work in a particular sect/elev window. anything similar? i'm going to flick it off to GS tech support when i get the impression that they might actually give a damn about mac archiCAD . . .

Do you have any other applications running?

On my PC I used to have problems with drag-a-copy not working by keyboard shortcut (ctrl-shift-D) when my Palm Desktop was running in the background (it doesn't happen anymore with the most recent version).

On my Mac I sometimes have problems with Entourage running in the background disabling "shift" to select items or to constrain angles. (I've been told it has to do with Entourage trying to access Keychain or something like that, but quitting Entourage and restarting it seems to fix it temporarily.)

just resolved my issue a little more:

i was using teamwork, and although signed in with exclusive access many of the edit transformations involving the creation of elements simply didn't work in certain sect/elev windows. i.e. anything-a-copy, split, etc . . . the weird thing was that i could create elements in those same windows with a simple copy and paste. very laborious though. signing out and back in again fixed it up for the time being and i've sent a report off to the red fortress . . .

We have seen this same issue in our office as well. I found that you do not have to completely sign out and back in. Changing your workspace without actually changing anything will bring back the functions as well.
