Distribute -2 would behave like distribute -1, except that it would delete the original.
In the attached image, I'm equally spacing three lights in a ceiling. To do this, I place a light on one edge, multiply 3 copies with Dist -1 to the opposite edge, select the original, and delete it.
Distribute -2 would do this in one action.
This is the one area where I prefer the old, keep-original-selected behavior of multiply. (Not that I'm complaining, or switching the preference.) After the multiply it was just <delete> and done.
