automatic hidden lines

Wouldn't it be nice if objects obscured by other objects were automatically drawn with hidden - or any other nominated - line type. If partially obscured, only obcured portions would be drawn with hidden line type. This should apply to plans, elevations and sections. Asking for it in perspectives might be too much!
