Calculations and formulas in Schedules

So, this is perhaps a bump from previous topics but the full functionality has not yet been solved.

My wish is for spreadsheet style calculations in Schedules.

As a simple example:

A big residential project - with a number of different apartment types (1 bed, 2 bed, 3 bed etc.) which is of course a part of a total number of apartments. Currently we cannot list these apartments and have the schedule display their repective percentages in relation to the total. This would be extremely beneficial to general project management and how and what we can deliver to clients.

Floor plan view setting consistency

would love to see some consistency here:

Display of Treads/Risers of Stairs to react to Partial Structure Display settings

When doing a concrete structural section for example, if you click the option "without finishes" the floors and plasters and other layers hide, but the tread finishes on your stair stay. It should be consistent and behave as a floor finish.

Currently I need to do 2 stairs, one for the concrete and one for the finish, or draw / cover with fills which is bad.

Add more flexibility for graphic styling of schedules

Schedules are great but the can be very boring and monotonous to read. It would be great if we had some more freedom in setting graphic styling of schedules. I'd like to be able to do the following:

  • change styling of schedule tile independently of other headers
  • set colours for alternate rows
  • set different line weights for different borders
  • set cell background colour
  • use conditional formatting for cells - this would be great for drawing attention to abnormal values

MEP - MVO option to show only axis (and others)

Hi everyone

I would like to have an option to show only axis of the MEP elements for certain views. I think it would be great if there was a button in MVO to check if there is only axis shown or axis and element boundaries or boundaries only for MEP routes in 2D (floorpans) and in 3D (axonometric views)
The main reason is when creating a site drawing where all technical infrastructure is shown, I want to see only axis of the routes without its boundaries which are in scale 1:200 or higher unimportant.
Another could be for schematic representation of routes in axonometric views connected to MEP elements.

Best regards
Karel

Opening Tool as Standard Wall Penetration Tool

Hi all,

Wouldn't it be nice if doors, windows and curtain walls all lived within the Opening Tool?

If you want to use the Curtain Wall Tool to create a custom window, it will automatically cut the bounding wall by the defined boundary.

If you want to demolish a window while retaining the penetration, the opening would be retained as existing.

If you want to change your floor to ceiling window into a sliding door, there's no need to delete and change tool.

If you want to put a window at your stair landing between stories cutting multiple walls, there is no need for additional faux openings.

Right Angle Triangle Window

How is it possible that in 2022 / Archicad 26 there is still not an out of the box right angle window? The Triangle Fixed window [Moderator: in the USA library] can not have a vertical side. This is super annoying. The only way to achieve this basic window shape (without paying for a 3rd party window like Cadimage) is to use the ancient FreeFormWindow, which is missing tons of features and is surely going to stop working at some point. Can whoever is in charge of the libraries, just spend like 5 minutes and get us this window?Screen Shot 2022-11-16 at 9.45.53 AM.png

Dark Mode/Dark theme for ARCHICAD (on both macOS and Windows)

Apple introduced Dark mode in macOS 10.14 Mojave, and Microsoft also started implementing it in Windows the same year (2018).

ARCHICAD currently works when the Operating System is turned to Dark Mode, but doesn't have a dark theme yet. This change could be quite development-resource heavy (as the engine of ARCHICAD’s UI is not ready for having 2 different representations, so it would require a complete overhaul), and could also take away time from functional developments in favour of a cosmetic upgrade.

PS.: I found other similar polls but I wanted to get more specific than those. I link them here for reference (I personally like the mock-up of Emil Meijer):
