DWG Publisher doesn't resolve AutoText (AutoText is on a Worksheet, placed on Master Layout)

Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing a strange issue in Archicad 27 INT when publishing Layouts to DWG.

Everything works correctly inside Archicad and in PDF output, but when I publish to DWG, some AutoText fields are not resolved:

  • Layout Name#LayoutName
  • Scale###
  • Transmittal Set#TransmittalSet

At the same time, my custom AutoText fields (project number, address, project stage, etc.) are exported correctly.

I am using Archicad 27 INT, and the entire title block is created on a Worksheet, which is then placed on the Master Layout. Both the system AutoText fields and my custom AutoText fields are located on that Worksheet.

PDFs display all AutoText correctly and the problem only occurs when publishing to DWG, (I am publishing through Publisher).

Has anyone experienced the same issue?

Is this a known limitation of using system AutoText fields inside a Worksheet placed on a Master Layout when publishing to DWG, or could it be related to a Publisher/DWG Translator setting?

Any advice or workaround would be greatly appreciated.

Operating system used: Windows

When you use that Master Layout in an actual Layout and you open that layout in Archicad, does it appear correct there?

A Master Layout does not have a Layout Name until it is used in a layout.

Yes, as I described earlier, everything appears correctly on the actual Layout in Archicad. The Layout Name, Scale and Transmittal Set are all displayed correctly. They are also correct in the PDF output. The problem only occurs when publishing to DWG, where these system AutoText fields become #LayoutName, #Scale and #TransmittalSet.

Sorry, I should have read your question properly.

I recall reading a post about autotext not transferring to DWG, but I can't seem to find it.

I don't remember if there was a solution or not or if there is a setting in the DWG translator that can help.

I rarely publish to DWG, so I have not come across this.

Found it from more than 10 years ago.

Unfortunately I see no solution.

It only seems that it is a problem when the autotext in in a worksheet and the worksheet is place on a master layout.

I did find another post but it just links to the one i have already linked to.

There could be others.

Does it work if you use a section (with status set as a 'drawing' so it does not actually show any 3D model being cut)?
