The drawing frame is there but there is nothing inside?
If so, what happens if you select the placed drawing, right click and choose 'Open Source View'?
What do you see then?
Barry.

Good morning,
For some strange reason, this morning it works? I shut down yesterday. This morning I saw your advise and was going to try it. I selected "save view and place on layout", and it worked. I will have to see what I previously did wrong? and back track.
Thank you for your time.

check the layer combo of your layout book
make sure the 'ignore zoom and rotation' is unchecked in your default view settings
make sure the 'fit drawing to frame' is unchecked in your drawing settings
don't use the save view and place on layout:
-it dumps a view in some nonsensical place of the view map
-it's likely to generate new layouts or place to a layout you didn't intend and will have to move it anyway
IMO, it's more efficeint and better practice to save views via right click or the organizer, and place them with drag/drop to the layout you want them on

Good morning,
I opened my project this morning, the images I placed using "save and place on layout" are all gone again. I followed your instructions step-by-step, to no avail. When I use the refresh button after placing the "invisible" drawings, I can see the refers working and completing, although I cannot see the drawings. I am missing some step or setting.
Please advise.

So, it seems the settings for the view are correct.
I was wondering if a different renovation filter was being set that showed nothing.
What happens if you select the placed drawing and change the frame to 'Fit Frame to Drawing'?
Or is it already set as that?
Also you do not mention what version of Archicad you are using or your operating system.
Do you have the latest update (build) for that version?
Barry.

What happens if you force an update of the viewport / layout?
