How do I control how a door is assigned to which zone?

There is a zone on both sides of my doors. The door schedule reads one of the zones, but it does not seem to be the zone that has the door tag location or the door swing direction, and yet sometimes it is. I have not been able to figure out how to control it. What does?

I have the same problem. Do you find a solution? (even 2 years after!)

I think I've had the same problem as yours, and what has worked for me was to update the zones (DESIGN -> UPDATE ZONES).

My zones were automatic, and I think that is the case, but didn't check if the problem exists for the zones that are put manually.

Anyway, when I've updated the zones, all the doors were updated and linked to a proper zone.

Please check if it works for you, even though 3 years have passed 😄

I was having trouble with this as well and realized (after time) to verify the zone has the correct renovation status. When the zone is "existing" then the zone number does not show up in the door tag.  When the zone is "new" then it picks up the zone number. For exterior doors that swing out, where a zone is not placed, the door will need to have the toggle mentioned by Stress Co unchecked.

Good afternoon 4hotshoes, how are you?

This type of mistake happens because the outside of the door or window is wrong.

Check if the Sun is facing outwards.

Sorry, after I read that you already tried the sun.
Just one question, are these zones in an associated module?

So @4hotshoes, we just had a similar issue which landed us at this forum. After a lot of troubleshooting and research, we found that there are a number of conditions that must be met for a door to associate with a zone. Graphisoft outlines them here. For us, the issue was that the zone on the "push" side of the door had been pulled across the threshold (see attached), meaning condition 1 of the zone being aligned with the edge of the wall had not been met. By trimming the zone to the wall on the push side of the door fixed this issue for us. Maybe this is your issue, maybe not, but we come across door/zone association issues every now and then, and I think the Graphisoft guide may be helpful.
