I've got a problem with the native Dormer Shed in Archicad 25 and 28. I think its maximum Shed Roof Pitch value (screenshot) is hardcoded at 35 degrees. This is highly impractical and illogical limitation, and it should be increased to something like 89 deg. Sadly, I can't edit GDL myself, so I'm hoping someone would be able and so kind to try fixing it.
I placed it as skylight but the issue is the same if placed as an object.
PS
Sorry for Polish UI but I don't think this will be a problem.
Attached test model. Should I upload PLA or is PLN enough? Anyone can also start from scratch, it's a super simple example.
Operating system used: Windows 10

You are the best! Thank you so much, your fix is gonna save me some real headache (hopefully, for other users too). And sorry for calling you personally. I hope it didn't take you too much time!

Hi Mike96,
No it's not theory that work like this in my Archicad. The images are real screen consecutive shots.

Not sure which library update you are using in AC28, but I am on Update 1 and the maximum pitch is limited to 5 less than the roof pitch.

Are you placing this object on the roof with the sky light tool rather than just as an object?
It should then automatically read the roof pitch and adjust to suit.

I'll second Karls sentiment.
the only time I've used the dormer parts was for a place holder for an eyebrow attic vent in an as-built model. These kinds of parts fall in the same vein as the stairs, railings, curtain walls, and in many cases doors and windows. They work, when 'good enough' is the target.
In residential work, I have both sides of the spectrum. For spec home/tract home projects, where I need to get from preliminary design to permit docs in under 20 hours, good enough is all they get from me. But I work with architects doing $x000/sq ft homes... and good/close enough is NEVER going to cut it; even at early design.
