I have had 2 scenarios of this happening where the fills will not show up in the layout even though it is showing in the view.
1. Where it is just a drafting fill
2. The element cut fill (from building material)
Maybe a glitch? I have a section that's been placed on a layout where half of the slabs are showing the concrete cut fill but the other half not.
I have tried relinking, restarting.... etc
Operating system used: Windows 11

I figured it out... someone had changed the pen set to the view and I didn't realise.

Can you show a few screenshots of the issue (settings, section, layout)?
Do you have your model far from Project Origin by any chance?

Yvonne,
Could you still post a few screenshots to illustrate the situation? It would be helpful for others for future reference in case anyone encounters such a situation.

If a part of the geometry is not cut, then it will not have a cut fill and it will be show with the View Pen.

i thought it was related to my location of section cut as shown below but it doesn't matter where i drag the cut line i still get nothing. will look at the settings for view pen as you suggested Laszio, thank you.

Out of the two vertical lines of the Section on your screen, the one on the left is the Section cut line (where the numbers are). The other one is the line specifying the depth of how far the Section would generate the model.
