Reference paths manager

[Wished during the painful process of fixing links after a multifile project was moved to a new server.]
I wish there were a way of redirecting all reference paths (hotlinks, libraries, pdf, translators, publisher, and all the rest) in a file by just going into a sort of hierarchical tree showing the existing references path structure and redirecting any one at any level. So that a given file would show the current structure in a tabbed list such as the following, and by rightclicking on any item one would be able to change the path of everything downstream —without having to go into every single drawing and translator etc.
This would also be good for troubleshooting —detecting and fixing that drawing content someone linked to his laptop, etc. It would save a lot of time: sometimes finding the culprit reference can be a pain.
This would be independent of the individual element control one has in hotlink manager, drawing manager, etc.

Another example of the need for something like this. Largish project with Macs working remotely, connections via VPN are using afp address to server.

Now if at some point one needed to make the project Windows-friendly, all links would have to be relinked using smb. Or if someone screws up and connects using smb in Mac, whatever link he sets up will show as missing and need to be relinked when connecting through afp. With a 'reference paths manager' it would be just a matter of redirecting any smb://address to afp://address.
