Currently Properties can be used or Elements of the Building and for materials.
Compistes are combination of Materials that have their own Properties like maximal Fire Rating, Acustic insulation Vaues, Thermal insulation Values.
Having the ability to define Properties for Composites would allow to automate the quality of Modells.
Thanks

Right now, the Layouts are not saving any Pen Information and you need to fix the Pen you have selected at the moment manually to get the right publishing results for all alements drwan directly in the LAyout. The Elements vontained in Drawings use the Pen-Set saved with the View.
It's necessary to have the possibility to save the Pen directly with the Layout to avoid problems with the representation.

If dimensions are going to be tied to partial structure display, there needs to be a way to change which partial structure display they are tied to.
Too many novices think dimensioning with plans set to core only will save them time not zooming to snap to face of core, then they find out after the fact they need to completely redo their dimensions after spending hours (or days) documenting a plan set.
Calculating m3's with zones or morphs, list them in schedules so you can hide the item from 2D and 3D but still acces the calculated data in textfields, labels.
Therefore having access to to values in schedules as auto text should come in handy.
Allow publisher sets to publish to external cloud service (Sharepoint, Onedrive etc - for us Sharepoint as a preference) from Teamwork files.
Hi,
a use case that could make our life easier, "managing the content of labels by MVO",
imagine that you have location plans at several scales and with specific information for each scale,
I place my labels in a specific layer with a specific code like <#byMVO> which would have the effect of browsing the MVO to determine the content of the label.
On the MVO side we will have a "Documentation" part that will allow us to manage all the documentary parts of the plan and in this part there will be tabs by documentation tool and a system of selection criteria, in the labels tab I choose the label contained in the layer and a Textual field I will be able to recall the automatic texts that I want for this combination of MVO.
This system remains generic and can be used and diverted for any specific use and need, the centralization of the content of the labels is a fundamental subject for a fast and fluid use
Auto-text:
Ability to access the Names and IDs of Views/View clones and the Names of View folders.
It would be a huge benefit for internal workflow.
For Text label/Auto text label :
Possibility to place an arrow in the center under the text or the box.
Currently, when creating contours in a mesh from the linework on a surveyor's supplied dwg file, under certain circumstances space clicking the surveyor's line can create duplicate nodes or entire duplicate contours, that co-exist exactly in 3D space but are otherwise undetectable to the eye but that trigger otherwise inexplicable behaviours.
I have reported this as a bug, but was told this is just a 'limitation of the tool' (which I think is semantics), and that any fix needed to be submitted as a wish.
Symptoms of duplicate mesh nodes can include:
These issues can arise even after confirming there are no duplicate lines or gaps in the source linework. Possibly as a function of mesh complexity or multiple SEOs in the mesh, possibly as a result of rounding errors if the project contains far distant objects, and possibly exacerbated by lagging dynamic feedback resulting in the user clicking based on out of date information displaying for current mouse position for a second too long.
Until meshes are upgraded to allow for concavities or genuinely vertical surfaces, where contours that are coincident in plan would make sense (vertical banks etc), it should not be possible for more than one node or contour line to occupy a given plan position.
Perhaps a mesh clean-up tool or function could be added to remove duplicate mesh nodes?
Hi GS.
On behalf of our clients I wish that the possibility to embed an image into a dwg, when exporting such from AC, would be a possibility.
Kind regards
Thomas
I would like a way to batch relinking of drawings at once to different clones in the same file.
When I have to duplicate floorplan layout sets in big projects, I think it would be useful to select all the drawings (from the same clone) at once and relink all of them to another different clone from the file.
Now, if you select more than one drawing in the drawing manager, it only search for the same clone in the same or other files, but you cannot select a different clone. And you have to relink one by one...
Currently, the text tool only allows a solid line for the text frame (text contour).
It would be a valuable improvement if we could choose any linetype available in the project file for the text frame.
This would make text annotations more flexible and consistent with the graphic language of the drawing.
Please fix the issue of JPEG exporting.
It would be useful to manage image resolution. Although there is option "Maximum quality" the final image resolution depends on the actual zoom on the layout while exporting.
Also JPEG export isn't related to the Layout but to the entire screen. For example when I have other images and objects outside (beside) the Layout, they are exported as well into the final image. Is it possible to limit the export only on the Layout and not its surroundings?
Thank you.
Jakub
In lieu of typing in custom dimensions to cover up minute fractional dimensions (whether due to sloppy drafting or odd geometry), it would be helpful to have a dimension-style override setting for a particular dimension label. I'd rather assign a dimension style that stops approximates to 1/4" increments to correct a rogue 1/64" of in inch rather than typing in a static dimension that might change.
A visual pen change for overridden dimensions would also be helpful with this functionality.
For both STUDYING OPTIONS and PRESENTING them, we often HAND DRAWN sketches that would benefit from being able to belong to a Design Option Status... In addition, we have COLOR ELEVATIONS as part of our deliverables. We are using background jpg's for color (to keep pdf filesizes down)... But our projects have OPTIONS that both get delivered from the same file... thereby we need a way to swap in OPTION A then swap out to OPTION B... There are work arounds, but hoping adding Design Options to IMAGES is something easy to accomplish.
Hiya
Seems like there is plenty of room to add the formatting for Folders also?
Why are overrides only available for keynotes?
Cheers,
Link.
Hiya
If we place a Keynote Legend on a Master Layout and the layout has no keynotes on it, the Legend should disappear completely. It still seems to show the lowest folder, which looks odd all by itself.
Cheers,
Link.
When working with dimensions at scales such as 1:50 or smaller, space efficiency in annotation is critical. Nowdays my archicad only allows the suppression of the leading zero together with the comma, resulting in values like 20 instead of ,20. This makes dimensions harder to read!!
In addition, there is no option to choose between dot (.) and comma (,) as the decimal separator. This limitation creates inconsistencies between projects, as many workflows (and other BIM software) already support this flexibility
I kindly ask that, as soon as possible (and if feasible), these features be added to Archicad in future releases:
1. Add an option to suppress only the leading zero, while keeping the decimal separator visible (,10 or .10).
2. Allow users to select either comma or dot as the decimal separator directly in the Dimension Settings.
3. Make this preference storable in templates, ensuring consistency across teams and projects.
Hi,
Please allow us to only have a text-only Grid Element Marker.
(Without a circle, square etc.)
Sometime you have high density grids with secondary grid lines that don't need a marker shape.
No i have to give each grid element an ID and read it using the label tool.
It would be good if the published PDFs could have assigned a color profile - as a default: sRGB. The problem raises when such PDFs are dropped to the big printer that expects a profiled PDF and sometimes the outcome is unpredictable
