Hi GS.
On behalf of our clients I wish that the possibility to embed an image into a dwg, when exporting such from AC, would be a possibility.
Kind regards
Thomas
I would like a way to batch relinking of drawings at once to different clones in the same file.
When I have to duplicate floorplan layout sets in big projects, I think it would be useful to select all the drawings (from the same clone) at once and relink all of them to another different clone from the file.
Now, if you select more than one drawing in the drawing manager, it only search for the same clone in the same or other files, but you cannot select a different clone. And you have to relink one by one...
If you want to remove a window with a renovation filter, it will also remove the sill and lintel. It's recommended to be able to configure the removal process for each component (window frame, sill, lintel, etc.). Currently, it's cumbersome to get a correct display.
Currently, the text tool only allows a solid line for the text frame (text contour).
It would be a valuable improvement if we could choose any linetype available in the project file for the text frame.
This would make text annotations more flexible and consistent with the graphic language of the drawing.
I really wish we had a Rhino-style Gumball-cursor or a Microstation-like Accudraw.
Please fix the issue of JPEG exporting.
It would be useful to manage image resolution. Although there is option "Maximum quality" the final image resolution depends on the actual zoom on the layout while exporting.
Also JPEG export isn't related to the Layout but to the entire screen. For example when I have other images and objects outside (beside) the Layout, they are exported as well into the final image. Is it possible to limit the export only on the Layout and not its surroundings?
Thank you.
Jakub
I am an extensive user of both Archicad and Revit. Each software is unique in its own way, but one feature that would be extremely helpful is a direct shortcut or tool to quickly select objects by type — whether through right/left click, or by filtering properties. This would greatly speed up modeling, sketching, and filtering processes.
Of course, I understand this may be complex for developers to implement, but it’s just a suggestion based on my workflow. A customer in India has also shared similar feedback, highlighting the potential value of this feature.
That said, I’m already impressed with the 2029 detailing levels and lineweight quality — they truly reflect architectural precision. Love it!
Hi,
BuildingSmart has this "crowdsourced" translation project going on https://buildingsmart.crowdin.com/ifc.
In some countries like Finland there's an overlapping public Sanastot -vocabulary work ongoing as open project too. In some this "voluntary/ open source" work is done by government body, in some by local BuildingSmart.
Once further, the bsDD work enables to load translations of IFC contents as a " (bsDD) library" to software/solution. For example to Archicad+MEP Designer if support for it would be implemented.
This would enormously benefit the everyday use of objects and IFC, with local language, naming conventions and content support.
It would also take burden from GS as Archicad, MEP, localizations would benefit from market contribution too.
So, vote for this one, please!

Hi everyone again,
I've posted a tread but community suggests me to repost it with a referal at only one wish.
So here i am again, I’ve seen a lot of wishes here—some are totally useful, others maybe less so— I’m wondering : aren’t you tired of modeling plinths with beams or finishes with other walls, just because Graphisoft left wall accessories behind? And if you try to take off surfaces or measure lengths from accessories, it’s absolutely impossible to get the right informations. We supposed to work bim right? Wouldn’t it be great to have a finish tool, like the railing tool, but maybe with advanced features—directly linked to walls and their openings?
A tool like that could be more greatful then other new features that are now implemented.
Lets make Archicad great again!
Victor,
Hi everyone,
I’ve seen a lot of wishes here—some are totally useful, others maybe less so—but I’m wondering: when will we have a ceiling tool? Haven’t you tried modeling ceilings with slabs and creating views using layer combinations? Why can’t we have a proper tool, one that allows good classification in schedules and a clearer distinction between model elements?
Also, aren’t you tired of modeling plinths with beams, just because Graphisoft left wall accessories behind? And if you try to take off surfaces or measure lengths, it’s absolutely impossible. Wouldn’t it be great to have a plinth tool, like the railing tool, but maybe with advanced features—directly linked to walls and their openings?
Aren’t you tired of modeling finish walls with walls and constantly running into issues with intersections? When you have a door and use a finish wall on top of a wall, you need a separate wallhole for the second skin. And if you decide to change the design, you have to move all those elements again and again.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a finish tool to simplify all these design processes?
Yes, I’m tired. And Community, I’m begging you to vote for this thread—maybe in the next version, we’ll get some really useful new features.
Victor
We always have our swing doors 4" from the corner of a wall. To get this in ArchiCAD we have to insert the door and then move the door over. The distance guides have been a great help but would love for inserting a door to only be a 1 step process. Something where we can preset how far away from the corner we want the door so it automatically inserts at that distance.
I am an IT administrator who also looks after the company bimCloud. When I ran our onsite server, I could login to the web panel and administer it. But now on bimCloud, I need an Archicad seat to do my job for which I don't use Archicad. So, in effect, if we are really busy and there are no licenses left, I need to revoke a license and stop an Architect working while I troubleshoot, fix, backup etc. This is surely an oversight on a system that is intended to facilitate workflow, not hinder it.
Thanks, this is my urgent request.
In lieu of typing in custom dimensions to cover up minute fractional dimensions (whether due to sloppy drafting or odd geometry), it would be helpful to have a dimension-style override setting for a particular dimension label. I'd rather assign a dimension style that stops approximates to 1/4" increments to correct a rogue 1/64" of in inch rather than typing in a static dimension that might change.
A visual pen change for overridden dimensions would also be helpful with this functionality.
Hi All,
I'd like to suggest adding the ability to run Archicad in demo mode while a cloud license is active on another device. This option is currently unavailable:
Currently, we have to log out of our GSID to launch demo mode, which takes some time.
Adding this option would make launching the program easier.
Thanks a lot!
For both STUDYING OPTIONS and PRESENTING them, we often HAND DRAWN sketches that would benefit from being able to belong to a Design Option Status... In addition, we have COLOR ELEVATIONS as part of our deliverables. We are using background jpg's for color (to keep pdf filesizes down)... But our projects have OPTIONS that both get delivered from the same file... thereby we need a way to swap in OPTION A then swap out to OPTION B... There are work arounds, but hoping adding Design Options to IMAGES is something easy to accomplish.
I am aware of the various methods for reducing polygon counts and the third-party software that helps with importing objects.
What I am looking for is far simpler; I would like a shortcut that identifies nodes on a polygon, for any tool, that share the same vector and gives me the options to eliminate them.
For instance:

Seems like there is plenty of room to add the formatting for Folders also?
Why are overrides only available for keynotes?
Cheers,
Link.
Hiya
If we place a Keynote Legend on a Master Layout and the layout has no keynotes on it, the Legend should disappear completely. It still seems to show the lowest folder, which looks odd all by itself.
Cheers,

The requirement for an inclined curved beam is necessary in many cases.
Current case use:
Modeling roads on a sloped site with the beam tool and a complex profile, when we have a curved road it can not be inclined, which is restrictive. It can be inclined if we used the railing tool, however this does not show the floor plan representation of the complex profile/road on floor plan, which is less productive than using the beam tool.
2D Representation of Beam VS Railing
Just working on new project, had to proceed with anotherrrrr download for additional surface catalog, and add into the library.
What I expected: all the surfaces are now in the file (since I added it into library and the size of the library reflect it, right?) and that is it, ready to go to modeling and select whichever new surface I want.
What I got: thousands new surfaces grouped in folders, with option to add one by one at the time. You need to MANUALLY select which surface you want, you can't even multi-select.
Glad I did not have to add one by one also the rest of library items.
Am I doing it wrong? Could someone wish with me please?
