It's been some years now, but there has been no further updates to the Surface Textures.
Yes, we can use it for
Please give us some consistency and deploy new features everywhere. (They're useless otherwise)
This alone would have more impact than the botched PBR shader.
Support for high-end VR headsets from within ArchiCAD's 3D window would be a valuable asset during design. VR headsets have matured over the past years, including the HTC Vive Pro 2, Meta Quest Pro, Apple Vision Pro, and many others.
Physically based rendering offered with ArchiCAD 28 can present an opportunity to make VR support available in the 3D window. At first glance that rendering engine appears similar to Twinmotion's, which uses Unreal Engine, and which supports VR headsets.
If the rendering technologies of ArchiCAD and BIMx were to merge, VR headset support can extend to BIMx as well.
Hello, it would be great if you would take into account the possibility of porting the BIMx application, as done on Apple Vision Pro, also to Meta's Quest products, this will permit us, in particular to Windows users, to have a greater and surely most affordable choice, to use VR with our BIM model.
I would love if you could edit a marquee in 3D, like revit's section boxes.
Sometimes you want to show diagrams or drawings of the building cut on different sides, and this would be a useful tool for that.
Images below show the section box tool in Revit.
I use both Revit and Archicad daily, and while there are lots of stuff I miss from Archicad when using Revit, this might be the number one tool I'm missing from Revit in Archicad.
I would like that Graphisoft incorporate Graph Diagrams to Archicad, that is visually similar to those in Node-Red for project administration in general and specifically for elements attributes, and IFC Project Manager (other aspects would be nice to have).
The reason is quiet simple, if it is visually and programmatically applied correctly by application software designers, it would make project administration a lot easier instead of depending solely on textual data, besides more and more people are getting more accustomed to the use of similar visualizations for data administration in general
Please provide a method to edit/control the style of the slab edges.
With the complex profiles, for example.
The performance of section and elevation views is extremely bad (slow), especially with shadows turned on and ('many') objects used.
It should match the performance of the floorplan display or the 3D window.
Especially the very slow update of these views on layouts kills all submission deadlines.
More styles / graphic variants, such as those in Rhino 3D window control (ghosted, x-ray, technical, Artistic, Pen, Arctic, etc.).
Different Transparencies in 3D views and sections/elevations based on building materials (or surfaces). Not just on / off.
Especially in non-shaded modes.
The option for transparency override of defined elements.
