There should be an easy way to remove unused or unneeded objects or elements from the embedded library.
A purge routine.
Please provide a method to edit/control the style of the slab edges.
With the complex profiles, for example.
The performance of section and elevation views is extremely bad (slow), especially with shadows turned on and ('many') objects used.
It should match the performance of the floorplan display or the 3D window.
Especially the very slow update of these views on layouts kills all submission deadlines.
More styles / graphic variants, such as those in Rhino 3D window control (ghosted, x-ray, technical, Artistic, Pen, Arctic, etc.).
Different Transparencies in 3D views and sections/elevations based on building materials (or surfaces). Not just on / off.
Especially in non-shaded modes.
The option for transparency override of defined elements.
EVERY CAD/BIM/3D software has this essential feature - why doesn't ArchiCAD?
There was a discussion in one of the beta tests years ago about enabling this, at least based on favorites (if you change a favorite, all placed "instances" of this favorite will be updated, too. Of course, there should be options to exclude (override) defined elements.

Access to the parameters of imported Revit RFA objects to control these elements better.
I did not find a quick solution to this, or maybe there is a way to do it. But if you have favorites of zones, the category always will be tranfered.
It would be good if Zone Category was an option in Element Transfer Settings.
elevations/sections can show surface images, would be amazing to be able to do the same for 3d documents (probably an even more useful uncut appearance than for elevations!)
Available in Elevations:
But not in 3d documents:
I am writing to propose an enhancement that I believe would greatly benefit the Archicad community: the introduction of a "FADE DISTANT ELEMENTS" feature in interior elevations. Currently, both the Elevation and Section markers have this functionality, and it has proven to be an invaluable tool for many users. This feature allows for a clearer and more professional presentation by fading out elements that are further away from the viewer, thereby enhancing the focus on the primary elements of interest. However, this same functionality is absent from the Interior Elevation marker settings. This omission seems puzzling, especially considering the frequent requests from users over the years for its inclusion. The addition of the "FADE DISTANT ELEMENTS" option in interior elevations would provide;
Given the apparent benefits and the community's long-standing request for this feature, I strongly urge the Graphisoft development team to consider its implementation in future releases of Archicad. This enhancement would undoubtedly be a valuable addition, elevating the user experience and output quality for all interior elevation work.
As building energy standards become more demanding, we need design tools that allow these to be considered early.
At least in the UK, Passivhaus and PHPP are regarded as being one of the most robust and longstanding.
However it is still a struggle to get solid transfer of data to PHPP to allow it to be used as a 'live' design tool.
Some kind of 'Live Connection' such as with Grasshopper, would allow the technical performance and design to be combined more seamlessly. PHPP is recognised as a 'gold standard' tool in many markets, so it would make sense to support it as we move to more demanding climatic conditions (design for shading/solar gain etc) and stringent energy standards where early design decisions are making more difference.
You have a list of zones in a schedule and at the bottom you have a total sum of the zone areas. It would great if you could define that sum as a new expression based property and use it eg. in different schedule. Like in Excel.
How wonderful will be to be able to control the attributes the same way we can control the libraries.
A centralize attribute manager that could be refreshed the same way we do the library manager. So all attributes are in sync between all the files of the same project that are interconnected.
Eg. The base building file, the fitout file and the wet area file, that must have the same attributes with matching names and ID's to avoid the nightmare of duplications.
In concept something like this...
and No more publishing and updating of hotlinks required
Same principle could apply to properties and classifications which can also be duplicated if are mismanaged.
So, this is perhaps a bump from previous topics but the full functionality has not yet been solved.
My wish is for spreadsheet style calculations in Schedules.
As a simple example:
A big residential project - with a number of different apartment types (1 bed, 2 bed, 3 bed etc.) which is of course a part of a total number of apartments. Currently we cannot list these apartments and have the schedule display their repective percentages in relation to the total. This would be extremely beneficial to general project management and how and what we can deliver to clients.
Wish: any valid license should be able to run any version of Archicad localized to any country world-wide. Professional/Professional, EDU/EDU, etc.
It is a historic artifact that Archicad is hard-coded in each global language for which it is available - vs letting the user choose the language interface at will like other software. It is also a historic pre-global-marketplace artifact that each country specific version has version-specific content delivered by the country's distributor. None of that is the customer's concern... but were all business decisions by Graphisoft.
This wish is so that global workers in a global economy can use whatever version of Archicad the team with which they are working is using. If I work with a company in Finland (and speak the language), I should be able to download and run FIN. If Spain, SPA. Etc. And, absolutely every license, cloud or physical, should be able to run INT.
Just a possibility of changing the view direction from look down to look up in the plans. This way will be easier to make an RCP drawing.
Improve the edges of roofs or slabs to be able to customise them to correctly show facia, soffit or verge details correctly to save having to do this using other elements
FINALLY be able to independently edit the skins of a composite wall/slab/roof: - to be able to give it a different status: to be demolished/created... - to be able to edit it in 3d so that each layer has its own dimension (length, width, height, or even different shape) - to be able to display or not a skin in plan/section/3d... - and many other things that reflect the way a building is constructed! THANKS !
When there are a lot of views in the View Map, it would be nice if ArchiCAD somehow marked views that are inserted somewhere on sheets or simply intended for publication as views.
Thanks to this, a user cleaning the View Map would not accidentally delete such a view.
All you need is a small symbol next to the view, for example a gray Layout icon in front of the View, or a gray paperclip icon, or something else...:
Whenever I model terrain, I dream of an additional feature that would be useful, e.g. for convenient cutting of roads, various surfaces (etc.) in the terrain mesh, so that it would then also be visible in cross-sections (e.g. by using SEO operations). This is a mesh of a given thickness:
