I can't support this wish, as shortcuts as described by Eduardo are one-handed, quick and easy... and can be similarly customized. The problem with allowing something like D, DD and DDD is that in order for the product to properly detect what's going on... there would have to be a needless (small) delay while Archicad would be waiting to see if another letter was pressed before the action could be taken. With the standard shortcut concept of a letter possibly modified by modifier keys, actions are instantaneous.

Hello Karl, I know all about shortcuts, my question was only on the possibility to activate a tool more straight than pressing Shift or Cmd or Alt then a letter. This is a wish some users return sometimes. You wrote "…Archicad would be waiting to see if another letter was pressed before the action could be taken." I didn't know about that thanks for your clear answer, nonetheless they are some shortcuts like M for "Mesure" or O to open the option dialog of a tool that are quick to execute, but you mean if we had to type more than one letter in a row this would lead to delay the action.
