In Archicad 28 version 3060, the function to temporarily toggle Quick Select with the spacebar is not working, while using Shift + Spacebar does work. Is there a way to adjust the settings to fix this?
PS 1.
I've already tried resetting the settings.
PS 2.
Rolling back to version 3000 restored normal functionality.
Operating system used: Mac Apple Silicon 15.1(24B83)

Hello there,
I updated the Insights post about the Archicad 28.0.1 Hotfix release where this issue is addressed in detail.
UPDATED: Archicad 28.0.1 Hotfix release - Graphisoft Community
But to reflect on your questions directly:
- the easiest way to revert to the previous version is to perform a "Repair & Install" of the main release version of Archicad 28 (build 3001).
- we are currently working on fixing this defect, and intend to include the bugfix in the upcoming AC28.0.2 Hotfix, which is expected to be available in a couple of weeks.
Apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding!

That is a 'non-editable' shortcut..
I have just installed the 28 update but there is no change for me.
Spacebar still works as the shortcut.
But I am on a Windows machine.
Other Mac (Silicon) users will have to confirm if this is a bug or not.
Barry.

I’ll have a look at this. We had a random bug for one user in Archicad 27 on a Mac where the spacebar shortcut to toggle quick selection stopped working randomly. It never was resolved.

I'm having the same problem and got some messages from other colleagues.
When I open shortcuts in web browser, there is still spacebar for magic wand and magnet but.
I've found out that when trying to turn on/off magnet, you can press shift+spacebar.
For magic wand to work, you need to press shift+spacebar and then release the shift.

Yes, it's broken now on macOS! DO NOT UPDATE!
Big Thanks to @Karel Landa for the trick! That does work indeed (just gives you an annoying macOS warning sound).
@GS: come on, this should really not happen. Where's your QC?

You made me laugh, thanks to you.

Uff, got bitten yesterday too.
Obviously using 2 fingers is more efficient than using one… the more clicks and the more key presses the better the software…

Came here to complain about the same issue (macOS). GS needs to get this fixed ASAP. Based on my experience today, Spacebar is probably my most used keyboard shortcut. Glad there's a work around with Shift+Space.
What's the easy way to roll back to a previous update?

TURNING CAPS LOCK ON FIXES IT!!!!
Obviously it has other ISSUES…

SHOULDN'T HAVE WRITTEN THAT IT FIXES IT BUT THAT IT IS A WORKAROUND UNTIL YOU ROLL IT BACK OR GS RELEASES ANOTHER UPDATE.
BUT JUST IN CASE THAT THIS IS "BY DESIGN" I AM NOT TURNING CAPS LOCK OFF. 😉
