Crashing Grasshopper Live Connection

Hi all,

I am using Rhino 6, the latest version, along with Archicad 27, also at the latest version.

I installed the Live Connection Plugin as intended.

The moment I start the live connection in Grasshopper, Rhino crashes immediately.

It doesn't happen when Archicad is closed, and it also doesn't crash when the wrong port is entered.

I've tried several reinstalls and deleted all the plugins, but nothing helped.

it's a stab in the dark, but try applying the latest AC patch after you've installed the Live Connection.

Archicad 27 is at its latest Version 😞

which is fine. What I'm suggesting is that you apply the latest patch again.

I tried it, but that didn't fix the issue. I also attempted a complete reinstall of Rhino and Archicad - but that also had no effect.

Are there any users for whom 'Rhino 6 + Archicad 27' is working properly?

Im in the same boat. Tried with all archicad 27 builds (3000,4000,5000), all of them crashes rhino.
Also i am using the hungarian education version.
Oddly Archicad 26 HUN EDU version works without a problem.

Yes Rhino 6 with ArchiCAD 27 - 5003, crash on connection 😠

Dear All,

This might be the issue DEF-18943. It is about a crash that happens because during the initialization (that happens after connecting) the plugin tries to query attributes, viewpoints and properties. This requires the Newtonsoft.Json.dll dependency which is not installed via the installer for Rhino 6 as the Rhino 6 runtime already contains this. The plugin is compiled with a newer version of Newtonsoft.Json (13.0) than the one in the Rhino runtime (10.0) which has missing features, and that results in the crash. 

To resolve the issue, please copy a newer version (13.0) of Newtonsoft.Json.dll (attached) to the installation folder of the Grasshopper plugin. It is located at Rhino6\Plug-ins\Grasshopper\ArchicadConnection.gha.

I hope this issue will be solved soon.
