SpaceMouse Navigation in 3D Explore Mode

Please can SpaceMouse Navigation be enabled in the 3D Explore Mode. Doing this would make walk through / fly through navigation super smooth.

If possible this would be great.

Thank you !

Teamwork: Release & DISCARD Changes

Hi all,

A wish for a Release & Discard Changes option when releasing an entity.

For when you realise that one of the entities you have been modifier was not suppose to be modified but do not want to lose the other changes to have made. You can discard EVERYTHING when closing a teamwork file, so why is there not a selective discard option?

Tool based shortcuts - Ability to map shortcuts to label sub-settings

I would love it if we could have tool-based shortcuts.

I lose time in labelling elements manually clicking through settings. For instance, adding a leader to a label should be able to be mapped as a shortcut.

This principle should be expanded so that individual tools can have their own shortcut sub-groups.

I love having particular instance-based shortcuts active within tools ie: (shift+f, g, etc). We should expand this idea.

Replace Keynote to interact with tranfer settings

Currently, the keynote replace tool/option (accessed via a right click on the desired keynote) transfers all the settings in the favourite selected in the keynote palette. It currently ignores any of the settings in the element transfer settings. This means you need a favourite for each layer you will have keynotes on and remember to change the favourite before applying the replacement.

Save selection in the Drawings manager

Save Selection in the Drawings manager.

-save a multiple Drawings selction in the drawings manager and save time by batch refreshing the drawings or request them in teamwork.

Re-size Tool

I use the Re-size tool often, but I find it restricting that the aspect ratio is locked.  I would like to be able to re-size in one direction, or even better to resize as a trapezoid.  I often work with drone photos or areal photos which are distorted  and could correct that distortion with the re-size tool.  Currently you only have one option to make it bigger or smaller but no way to distort the image.

Six month and three month subscription terms

The savings on a 1 year subscription are great, but it is not always possible to make such a large purchase at once. Currently severe FX restrictions in my country mean that  the current 1 year subscription price is higher than the monthly USD limit on my credit cards.

Six month and/or three month subscriptions (with appropriate discounts) would give more purchase options without being as punitive as repeating one month subscriptions.

Improve License Validity Visibility in GSID Company Portal

Description:
Currently, the GSID company portal displays a “valid until” field only for trial licenses. This means that when checking renewal dates for paid licenses, administrators have to perform an extra click, even though this crucial information is already visible for trials.

Suggested Improvement:

  • Add the license validity/expiry date to the portal’s licenses page for every license (trial and paid).

  • Present this information in the same way for all types, so users can immediately see expiration details at a glance.

  • Consider enabling sorting or filtering by expiry date and optional renewal reminders for proactive management.

Why this matters:

  • Consistency would make license management more straightforward and efficient.

  • Since the system already shows expiry information for trial licenses, extending this to all licenses should be feasible and logical.

Index and Change Management

Current Problem in Index Management

Description:

When a new index is created for a specific plan and then closed, it is no longer possible to assign the same index later to other layouts that were not yet updated or included at that time.

Details:

  • In practice, not all layouts are updated at once. Some layouts may be delayed or modified later within the same revision round.

  • The current system does not allow reusing a closed index for layouts that were left out initially, which results in:

    • The need to create unnecessary additional indexes.

    • A lack of consistency between layouts that belong to the same revision or planning phase.

    • Extra manual effort and reliance on workarounds to maintain documentation.

Requirements:

  • Allow reusing a closed index for other layouts that have not yet been assigned to it.

  • Make index management more flexible and layout-dependent.

  • Maintain consistent index tracking without forcing redundant index creation.

Edit texture color

Be able to customize the color of your textures using a color wheel or RGB, HSL, or HEX values (like SketchUp does fore example).

It would save us from having to manually create new textures each time we want to try out different colors. In my opinion, it is a crucial feature to be able to quickly evaluate different color combinations and show them to a customer in real time.

Surface Textures: Show GDL defined surfaces in elevations

Currently, surfaces defined in GDL will show up blank in elevation.  It is currently identified as a limitation in Archicad.

The below images demonstrate the issue, with a surface defined by GDL on the left.

Feature Proposal: Visualize Counted Faces/Surfaces in Schedules

Dear Archicad Development Team,

I would like to propose a feature that could significantly improve the process of verifying surface-based schedules in Archicad. When generating a schedule (such as a surface area list), it would be extremely helpful to have an option that visually highlights the exact faces or surfaces being counted — directly in the 3D window. This could be implemented as a visualization toggle that temporarily colors or outlines the relevant faces/edges of the objects included in the schedule.

This feature would:

• Help users instantly verify which surfaces are being counted,

• Avoid misinterpretation or errors caused by hidden or unexpected geometry,

• Improve workflow clarity when managing custom components or complex objects,

Additionally (maybe), it would be extremely valuable to have the option to manually select specific faces or edges for inclusion in a schedule. In many practical cases, it’s unclear how exactly Archicad determines which surfaces are counted, especially with custom or complex objects. In discussions with fellow architects, I’ve found that many still calculate areas and volumes manually — not because the tools are unavailable, but due to a lack of confidence in the accuracy or transparency of the current automated methods. Allowing manual face/edge selection — or at least showing more explicitly which parts of the geometry are considered — would help bridge this gap, and increase trust in the software’s calculations.

The idea is not to change any geometry, but simply to provide a live 3D overlay (similar to selection or renovation filters) that visually confirms what Archicad “sees” and includes in the schedule. Thank you for considering this enhancement — I believe it would be a valuable addition for many professionals working with surface quantities in Archicad.

Add a List of files in Oganizer

Would be helpful If each part of Organizer had a list of files same as Publisher sets have. So when you work in a huge project with a lot of files you dont have to scroll and look for a sheet in a file you just select a file you need.

Let DWG-DXF translator to not export some attributes

Hi all,

Recreating a wish that has been purged from the system... since I have been running into this issue more and more frequently recently...

Borgo1971:

I tried some times to find if it is possible to set conversion table to not export some Archicad Fills. Now I got the answer from Laszlo Nagy that it isn't, but I  think it could be a useful option in many case. So I ask to add the ability to map to "not exported" any of the attributes we already can map to a specific Autocad attribute.

Seems not to much complicated to do...

Converting Template to Use the Global Library

Hi Team,

We need support for batch migrating templates that use Archicad libraries from version 27 or earlier to the Global Library.

The advantages of the Global Library are clear:

  1. There is no need to load libraries when continuing a project.
  2. There are no issues with changes in library reference paths.
  3. There is no need to migrate libraries in Archicad versions 28 and later.

As a result, the process of converting existing templates to use the Global Library will inevitably occur for Archicad users.

However, as far as I know, there is currently no support for migrating individual objects and attributes—except for Favorites—and if I remove the Archicad 27 or earlier libraries from a template and load the Global Library instead, some references may be missing.
If users have an extensive template, rebuilding it from scratch or manually mapping it to the Global Library would be highly inefficient.
Therefore, I believe a feature to assist with this process is necessary.

I kindly ask for a positive consideration regarding the development plan.

Best regards,
Jackson

Transparent Zone Categories

It would be helpful in the Zone category menu if you were able to select any fill, with any foreground and background colour. For example you cannot see furniture below a default Zone without using overrides or adjusting the zone fill manually.

Ability to open palettes from the Quick Options bar

The Quick Options bar has buttons for opening the Options windows for

  • Layers
  • Renovation Status and
  • Design Options

These functions also have a dedicated palette/toolbar, that needs to be opened via Window - Palettes, despite being much more frequently needed.

Could the Quick Options bar buttons to open the Options windows double as a way to open the appropriate palette?

This could be a right click context menu, or a sub menu (as the tool palette has for Favorites), a long press, or whatever works best.

Also, the Options windows, and the palettes, themselves should have a button to open the corresponding palette/Options window, as the Design Options palette now already has.

Improve Date Filtering in "Revision History Detailed" Object

The "Revision History Detailed" object includes a toggle for "Filter Revisions based on Criteria", with one of the available criteria being "Transmittal Set date".

However, the options provided under this setting are quite limited:

  • Is

  • Is Not

  • Is Empty

  • Is Not Empty

Given that "Transmittal Set date" is a date field, these options aren't particularly useful for practical filtering. More appropriate filters could include:

  • Before

  • After

  • Between

Alternatively, rather than filtering by a static date, it might be far more effective to have an option similar to the Transmittal Set interface—such as:

  • Show revisions since Transmittal Set X

This would better align with typical revision workflows, where users need to display changes since a particular transmittal rather than manually specifying or comparing static dates.

Layout Number in Top Subset in Schedules in Archicad 29

Dear Graphisoft Team,

If it’s not too much trouble, I kindly ask you to consider adding the “Layout Number in Top Subset” parameter as an available field in Schedules in Archicad 29.

This addition would be highly useful for improving workflow efficiency and data management.

Thank you very much for your continuous efforts in developing Archicad and supporting the user community. Your work is truly appreciated!

Opening Crashed and Recoverd files without closing other instances of Archicad

I just had one Archicad file crash, but I have others open, as reference and to copy things across. I want to open the latest saved recovery file of the crashed project, but I need to close the other Archicad files before I can access the Archicad launch menu, where the recovery file option is located. This seems unnecessary.
