The Transmitted Date field (previously Issued Date) in sheet indices displays the time along with the date, which is usually unnecessary. The common workaround is to manually enter the date into sheets' properties, but this is cumbersome and error-prone.
The current Transmitted Date field in sheet indices should be renamed to Transmitted Date and Time. A new field with the original name, which displays only the date (without the time), should then be implemented.
See discussion:
We should be able to import and export files in .svg import.
Although Archicad is very capable in sense of graphics, many free icons, pictograms etc is available in .svg which is lightweight and vector based.
Problem: When placing a PDF into a project, the page previews are shown very small, so it is very difficult to discern which pages are which.
Solution: Allow the user to make the page icons bigger or smaller, or preview a page (as the space bar does for Finder items on Mac).
Currently only labels and zone stamps can read the properties of their parent objects. Many times it would be useful for any GDL object to see their own properties.
In many cases older objects have parameters for values that would be better expressed as properties, but migrating to using properties is hindered by the fact that an object can't see them. For example, a door's fire rating and similar qualities are more natural to express as a property. They should be accessible from the object to show the user door parameters that are relevant to those qualities.
Most recently I wished for this functionality when converting the properties of a landscaping element standard (MaisemaBIM) into a property set. This information is useless to the corresponding plant objects, and the user would have to set the information twice, again as parameters, to have the object look right.
Along the years many others have asked about this at the GDL forum:

https://community.graphisoft.com/t5/Libraries-objects/Property-Manager-Option-Set-Object/td-p/238980
The last thread even links to an add-on that lets the user query properties.
(In some cases it would be also useful to write properties, but this is another matter and probably makes less sense in the big picture.)
It would be beneficial to see the advancement of schedules for elements other than doors and windows, such as beams, columns, slabs, and other assorted objects or designing elements.
Improvements such as,
ArchiCAD has implemented some of these customisations in window and door schedules, but hasn't extended the same curtsey to other elements, this development would allow for object schedules to be done in ArchiCAD, and detailed element schedules to go to steel (or other) manufacturers, along with a more accurate element schedules for builders.
What would also be convenient in Archicad (and this is possible in Revit), is that you can draw a local “region view” in the floor plans where you can set the “floor plan cut plane settings” separately for this “region view”. (Useful for example if there are windows drawn at ceiling height that a normal cut plane of 150cm does not show).
Hi,
Bring the SketchUp file format into the Publisher so we can automate exports of SketchUp files.
1. Open up a 3D View Point
2. Go to File > Save As...
3. Select the Location, choose a File Name, select a File Type and click Save
4. Choose the Export Options from the dialog box, most importantly the SketchUp Version.
5. Click OK.
This would ensure that the model is always exported in the desired SketchUp version, together with other items, in an already set location, all with just one click.
edit: Added some emoji, because why not.
Regarding Issue creation in BIMx.
Currently the issues can be either send directly to Archicad or saved as BCF-files.
The latter works best for us as we use BIMcollab to manage our project-issues.
Importing them makes it possible to view them in the BIMcollab tools (ZOOM and web-based) and have them available in Archicad via the BCF-manager add-on.
A welcome addition would be to have a connector included in BIMx with which one could log on to their preferred BCF-manager tool.
This will speed up posting of issues to the project and also make it less prone to oversight as the BCF-file doesn't need to be manually uploaded.

Add multiple leaders for labels. This would make our lives so much easier without having to duplicate labels, add polylines for extra arrows...etc
The "incorporate current selection" button inside the GDL editor (thanks for that by the way!) should respect the User origin.
This would make modeling so much easier since you wouldn't need to relocate all of your stuff to the global origin before hitting it.
It would be very nice if the orientation a window and door is a property.
That way you can select all the window to the north, or decrease glass surface area for windows oriented to the south.
This information is already available in the EcoDesigner Star, but you cannot schedule this.
A WYSIWYG ifc export from 3D marquee
Select stuff and with one click override colours (preset needs to bet set...like red) and grey/di down the rest.
I think I have posted this in old Wishlist but it did not make it here, so here I am again.
Often there is a situation in which we need to create a zone/space outside of the object such as balcony.
If I want to stick to automatically place zone based on boundaries or reference lines, I need to create a Line/Polyline defining the space. But in case of the balcony, there is usually a Railing. Why not to use this Railing as a zone boundary?
Give the option to create this setup with only the window tool. (glas on glas corner option while using a monorail sliding window)
Stept to model it for now: (see attachments)
- create window with a open frame
- create sliding door behind the open frame
- create mesh or beam for frame sliding door.
Hello, I think that by 2024, most users rely heavily on classification systems. That said, I can’t understand why we still don’t have a built-in properties palette included with the software, without needing extensions like the Live Palette from BIMdots. The same goes for a layer palette with the simple option of updating/overwrite a combination without the need to create a different one.
Adding such features seems simple and would likely be appreciated by everyone.
I would like to enter a wish to make it possible to edit the model in the explore model view in order to prevent the automatic jump back to the regular 3D view when clicking/selecting elements in the explore model view.
Users are well versed in editing polyline and polygon based building elements using the tools in various pet palettes. They know how to add and remove points, make lines into arcs, offset single edges or the whole shape. However if a custom object uses polylines or polygons, they can't use these tools and must use whatever the GDL developer has managed to hack together in order to imitate them (for example the Dynamic Polyline objects).
I propose that the standard pet palette tools should somehow be made available to be used to edit custom GDL objects. Maybe there could be a new parameter type "polyline" or "polygon", whose presence in the object's parameter list would automatically trigger the pet palette? Maybe the polyline/polygon parameters could be just dictionaries (like the ones used by the Polyops add-on), and in GDL you could indicate that a parameter is an editable polyline/polygon? Maybe the declaration could include finer settings about what kind of editing can be done: can there be arc segments, holes, multiple polygons. Maybe even allow 3D editing or define the plane of 2D edits.
Polylines and polygons are so ubiquitous in all kinds of design that this would be a natural next step from the regular length/angle editing with HOTSPOTs.
Hi all,
As a Template creator I would like to preset several Favourites Zones that have also defined a Label that should be linked with them.
For example when I want to create a Zone that represents used area of a room and another Zone for a flat. Each should have different Label. Right now even I have preset Favorit Zone I have to manually set the right Favorite Label for it.
The function "Annotation: Place Label" in the Zone settings remember only the last used Label.

It possible to copy/past (or drag and drop) a picture from windows folder (or internet ...) but then that picture cannot be cropped as when using the "drawing tool".
I WISH a "CROPPING" option. Or the possibility to change that picture into a drawing so I get the same option than with drawing tool.
The "drawing tool" work fine but it's long and annoying to search in deep folder.
