Notification for Teamwork Messages

it would be nice to get a Notification for Teamwork Messages in the Sidebar (Mac) or similar System on WIN. Also a Marker on the Doc Symbol (like a messaging App) would be helpful to visualized there is a new Message in Teamwork.

To explain. We have projects with many hotlinks that are edited in a separate file. If a message arrives in the master file, it remains unrecognized because it is in another ArchiCAD Window.

Allow Solid Element Operations Palette to dock in the workspace

I always keep the SEO Palette open, I wish it could dock in my workspace like the Favorites palette etc. does

MESH, sections & elevations, Elevate Mesh Point

I will dream and daydream again!
And here I see how conveniently I can change the Z of mesh point in section view and elevation view.
Oh, it's a pity that it's just a dream...

Clone Folders - Allow selection of which stories/ elevations/ details etc. show.

I'm a big fan of clone folders as a way to ensure view settings cascade, are consistent and can be easily updated when necessary.  However, having them always clone EVERY one of the stories/ elevations/ details leads to a lot of navigator clutter, and the need to expand/ collapse/ scroll through needlessly long lists of views that I don't actually need.

Often, I will want some of my details to be 1:5, some 1:10 for instance.  Having to have views of all details set up at both scales but then know which is supposed to be viewed at which scale feels cumbersome.

I'm also a fan of the 'iceberg method' to avoid the complications around attribute management, variations in storey height and so on in multi-block schemes.  Being able to be selective about which subset of stories show in a particular view set would help keep the navigator much easier to work with.

I'd like to have a list of all the available viewpoints in the clone folder settings dialogue, with a simple check box system to be able to define which of those actually then show within that clone folder in the navigator.  Newly created view points would still become available and could be added into (or excluded from) the cloned folder.

Archicad installators to contain latest update/hotfix as well

As a person working on techsupport, this is a common issue with many new users who install Archicad and call with a problem that is already fixed in hotfix/update.

Most users are then confused that their installation is out of date.
My wish is that archicad installator contains latest hotfix already.

Fix annotation markers in archicad

They are incredible finicky to use and need a total ui redesign. The way in which they are used are incredibly slow and do not match up with other softwares.

Ability to "disable" specific Design Options

I have talked about it on this forum before, that it would be great if we could lock elements in a way that you would be able to see them and snap to them, but not select them. So instead of hiding these elements, you would "disable" them - still visible and snappable, but they are faded, and you cannot select them.

What happens a lot in our teamwork projects is when people try to copy and paste some things they often accidentally select some locked elements (e.g. grids, section markers, etc.) and end-up creating duplicates, or in some cases they go to unlock an element to delete it, but they accidentally also select a grid and delete that as well. Not only that, but in general, I want to have the grid there so that I can snap and refer to it, but I end up selecting them instead of the columns placed on them (and have to activate the column tool to be able to select them in the end). I could go on, but I am getting tired or typing.

Recently what I started to do (on top of the usual locking) is that I create a separate design option for these elements, I have these design options turned on for most combinations, and as long as people have the "Edit Default Only" and "Fade Environment" options ticked in the Design Options palette, they can see the grids faded out, they can snap to them, but they cannot select them. Exactly what I wanted!
But the problem is that I cannot rely on all users having these options ticked at all times (and in some cases they might actually need to turn them off to work properly).

What I would love if in the Design options palette, I could have some other icons next to each option other than visibility (kinda like in the layer dialog). If I could not only toggle visibility for these options, but also the "Fading" and the "Editability/Selectability", then I could essentially "disable" a few options at a time in every combination, while the rest of the options remain untouched.

Make it possible to calculate area of the finish of a stair

If you have a stair with a finish, for example tiling, I would like to have the possibility to calculate this tiling area.

"Enter" selects from library instead of closing window

The Problem: (see screen recording attached which includes two "Enters") You open up a tool and search for something. You close the tool. Then you select something that tool makes (like the object tool makes objects). You use your keyboard to tab through some settings, maybe from a drop down, then hit enter to select. That setting is selected. You hit enter again to select "OK" and close the window BUT instead of OK and closing the window, you've suddenly switched from the object you were editing to whatever you were searching the library for before. You proceed to pull your hair out.

The Solution: Even when the search is active (with a cursor), a second Enter closes the window instead of selecting a library part in the sidebar. You leave your hair in.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

BIMcloud SaaS tenant region assignment causes unacceptable latency in Latin America

BIMcloud SaaS tenants are assigned to a Google Cloud Platform region based on country of purchase, with no option to select or request a different region. Graphisoft's own documentation acknowledges that latency directly impacts Teamwork performance, particularly Send & Receive operations, and directs users to verify their latency using GCPing.com before committing to SaaS. Reference:

https://community.graphisoft.com/t5/Teamwork-BIMcloud/BIMcloud-Software-as-a-Service-Connection-Test...

We followed that recommendation. The results, measured from Costa Rica using GCPing.com, show the following:

Screenshot 2026-04-12 at 08.24.25.png

São Paulo (southamerica-east1), which is the assigned region for Costa Rica: 180ms South Carolina (us-east1), the best performing region from our location: 85ms North Virginia (us-east4): 93ms Dallas (us-south1): 108ms

São Paulo is not only the worst performing region in the Americas from Costa Rica, it ranks on par with European cities including London, Madrid, Paris, and Belgium. It performs worse than every US region by a significant margin, and it is geographically further from Costa Rica than multiple US options.

Graphisoft's own network requirements documentation states that slow round-trips significantly affect operations requiring multiple packet exchanges between client and server, specifically naming Send & Receive. At 180ms base latency, every Teamwork operation accumulates this penalty across multiple round-trips, making daily Teamwork use genuinely impractical.

Notably, Graphisoft does not publish a maximum acceptable latency threshold anywhere in the connection test documentation. Users are directed to check their latency without being given a pass or fail benchmark. This means firms in affected regions can unknowingly purchase Collaborate subscriptions, complete the recommended connection test, and still have no basis to evaluate whether their assigned region is acceptable.

The request has two parts.

First, publish a clear maximum acceptable latency threshold in the connection test documentation so that firms can make an informed purchasing decision before committing to a subscription.

Second, allow tenant region selection at purchase, or at minimum allow firms to request reassignment to the lowest-latency available region. Locking tenant assignment to country of purchase without any recourse is not acceptable when the assigned region demonstrably fails to support the product's core workflow.

This affects all of Central America and likely other Latin American countries facing similar routing. It is a verifiable, measurable infrastructure gap that makes a paid feature non-functional for an entire region, and it directly contradicts the product promise of seamless cloud collaboration regardless of location.

Double key shortcut

Currently, Archicad allows keyboard shortcuts only as combinations of different keys (e.g., Ctrl+Shift+S). Users cannot assign double key sequences (e.g., pressing “G” twice in a row) to commands.

Proposal

Enable double key shortcuts: assign commands to a sequence of two consecutive keystrokes (e.g., “G” → “G”) instead of requiring simultaneous key presses.

Design Option Iprovements

Design options should be applicable to drawings and figures

Design options should be included in edit selection set

You have # library parts selects

Hi all,

If you ever work on sub-objects for the stair, railing or curtain wall tool, there is no way to select specific sub-objects to open them. Other than navigating through your library or object classifications, you are given the option to Open All. Would it not be great if that popup included a dropdown menu of all of the selected library parts? So that you could select a specific library part instead of the whole if you so wished?

Multiple transmittals and create new ones from historic transmittals

OUTLINE:

Working in a large practice working on high rise buildings often means setting up transmittals with numerous drawings from different drawing typologies - details/GA drawings/Planning drawings/Technical RIBA 4-5 stage drawings/BSR & building control submissions/ etc. This can mean 100+ drawings from various layout folders are added to a transmittal that then cannot be issued due to a delay beyond the control of the architect, but sometimes other drawings need to go out meaning one has to cancel the list and start a new one.

WISH: Currently only one transmittal can be set up with a single list. It would be really useful if several transmittals could be opened and be held open until closed - like having several Outboxes that would allow various teamworking members to create and populate transmittals and close them when the contents are ready to be issued.

Being able to create a new transmittal from a historic transmittal could also be useful

WORKAROUND: is taking screenshots and recreating the transmittal but this is time consuming, tedious and subject to error.

Show Doors or Windows if they're Outside a Wall

Changing the materiality along the length of a wall (e.g. color / cladding change) typically involves breaking the walls as needed. This frequently occurs in alignment with fenestration such as doors and windows.

Unfortunately it is entirely dependent on 100% accuracy - if the wall is cut the tiniest fraction off, the door or window ends up outside the wall and becomes invisible in plan. Often teams then place said door or window again to get it to display - which effectively duplicates these instances, throwing out the quantity in schedules.

Having a feature such as "highlight doors and windows placed outside wall" would really help with cleaning these instances up!

P&ID Diagrams based on connected elements

I think MEP Designer should have a feature that automatically makes Connection Diagrams or the elements selected.

For example, if we have a heat pump that is directly connected to a bunch of radiators, MEP Designer should create automatically a scheme that represents how the piping variations and connections are made, with pipe sizing labels and fluid volumes

Symbolic MVO options on vertical MEP elements.

vert meps.png

I Wish for the Symbolic MVO options MEP elements would also have an impact on the vertical MEP elements, graphics could be better when using Symbolic MVO options on e.g a drainage/rainwater plan

The Label of all labels

Create the possibility that one wall label, slab label and similar label could display the compositions of several walls, depending on the selection of these. The label would enable the order of data output, the ability to select data content, etc. Often, a common wall consists of walls + composite walls, etc. The same is true for roofs. And for display in plans, labels would be needed that would combine the output of content based on the selection of elements.

Consistency in closing pop-ups / dialog boxes

Problem: Some dialog boxes or pop ups must be closed by clicking either "Ok" or the close window button which, when they pop up in a far corner of the screen can add time and unnecessary effort to the workflow.

Solution: Make all pop-ups and dialog boxes consistent - Enter key means "OK" or whatever the highlighted button is, and the Escape key means "Cancel" or closes the window. This way us CAD workers can keep a smooth workflow.

Little things make a big difference.

Home screen recent projects - purge missing projects

New home screen is good but I'm quite missing an option to quickly purge deleted/missing files.

What I would like is a simple button that will remove all projects that are missing (0 KB file size).
I'm aware that I can select multiple projects with shift or ctrl(cmd) and delete them but surely this would be small but welcomed addition.
